The whole of In Flanders Fields above a meadow of red poppies, painted in watercolour under a soft evening sky.

John McCrae, a Canadian doctor, wrote the poem at Ypres in May 1915 after losing his friend Alexis Helmer. It was published in Punch that December, and its poppies became the symbol of remembrance we still wear every November. The field of poppies here gives the poem its setting, without anything grim.

Printed on premium lustre paper with a professional finish, and carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition.

Choose from five sizes, unframed or in a sleek black frame.

Perfect for:

  • Remembrance Day
  • Military families and veterans
  • Memorial gifts
  • History and poetry lovers
