Langston Hughes wrote Let America Be America Again in 1935, and it was first published in Esquire the following summer. It's a long poem about the country he believed in and the people it had left out.
Every line of the poem is set in small typewriter type, the first half running down the left and the second half answering it on the right. The title and Hughes's name run down the left-hand edge in tall stacked letters. It's a big, serious piece of writing, and it looks best in a larger size where you can stand and read it.
Printed on premium lustre paper with a professional finish, and carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition.
Choose a white, black or vintage background, in five sizes, unframed or in a sleek black frame.
Perfect for:
- Studies and libraries
- Teachers and classrooms
- American history lovers
- Langston Hughes fans
