"Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, the flying cloud, the frosty light: the year is dying in the night; ring out, wild bells, and let him die."
The poem comes from Tennyson's In Memoriam, written over years of grief for his friend Arthur Hallam, and it's been read at New Year for well over a century. All eight verses are set over a watercolour village under snow, with the church tower catching the last of a pink winter sunset. It's a print about letting the old year go, so it can stay up from Christmas into January.
Printed on premium lustre paper with a professional finish, and carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition.
Choose from five sizes, unframed or in a sleek black frame.
Perfect for:
- New Year and winter decor
- Poetry lovers
